Baccarat

In the game of Baccarat, players bet on which of 2 hands, the player’s (Player) or the banker’s (Banker), will be closest in value to 9 or if the hands will be tied (Tie). The game is played with 8 decks of cards, which are shuffled regularly by the dealer.

Blackjack

A casino card game, the object of the game is to beat the dealer by having a hand that totals 21 (without going over) or is closer to 21 than the dealer's hand. If a players hand is 21 after the first two hands are dealt then its a 'natural Blackjack' and is the highest-ranking hand.

Bonus Round

When activated, the bonus feature of a slot takes you to a bonus round where it is possible to win a lot more coins. Bonus rounds differ greatly depending on what game you are playing, please check 'Game Rules' for rules and further information.

Bust

Croupier

An attendant at a table game in our live casino.

Double/Double Down

When playing Blackjack, if your starting hand has a total value of 9, 10 or 11 you may be given the option to double down. This option enables you to double your bet, but receive just one more card (forfeiting the opportunity to hit further). Please check the individual game rules for whichever Blackjack game you are playing as they may vary.

Face Cards

Jacks, Queens and Kings

Hit

When playing Blackjack, this term is used when opting to take another card from the dealer

Insurance

If the dealers face-up card is an ace all players are offered an insurance bet. This bet is half the player's stake. In the event that the dealer has a blackjack, this bet will pay at 2 to 1. If the dealer does not have blackjack the bet is lost and the hands play as normal.

Paytable

A paytable shows how much a certain combination of matching reels will payout. This will vary depending on what you are playing and can be viewed once you start a game.

Pit Boss

A pit boss is a supervisor to our gaming tables in the live casino, you can ask for a pit boss if there are any betting disputes whilst playing.

Push

If your total hand value matches the dealers, it is a 'push' and your stake is returned to you. Does not count if the dealer has Natural Blackjack against your hand of 21 made up of three cards or more.

Rebet

To re-bet is to start a new hand and wager the same amount as the original stake of the previous round.

Roulette

One of the oldest and most famous casino games. The roulette wheel has 37 separately numbered slots alternately coloured red and black, the "0" is green. The dealer releases a ball into the spinning wheel. The objective is to predict which of the 37 numbers on the wheel the ball will stop on. There are various roulette games available and the rules for each of them can be found by starting a game.

Slots

A slot machine consists of three or more reels, each of which has a set of symbols usually relating to that particular game (eg. The 'Alice's Wonderland' slot has a caterpillar symbol, mad hatter, white rabbit, etc.) A player can win money by selecting his stake and win lines and spinning the reels which will eventually stop at random. If there are matching symbols across a selected win line then the game will payout. The amount a player receives is based on the amount staked for that spin and the payout odds of the matching symbols, these odds can be found from the paytable which shows the potential winnings for each reel combination. Full game rules and paytables for individual slots can be found by starting that game and clicking 'Game Rules'

Split

When playing blackjack, a player can choose to 'split' the first two cards dealt to them if they are the same value (does not include two Aces). This will mean the player now has two separate hands with the original stake on each of them. A card is dealt to one hand first and the player is given the normal options, 'Hit', 'Stand', and potentially 'Double Down' depending on the total value of the cards in that hand. Once you choose to 'Stand' or if you 'Bust' you can then play the second hand. There are several types of Blackjack games available on our casino, please check 'Game Rules' for confirmation of player options as they may vary.

Stand

This term is used when you no longer wish to take a card from the dealer.

Super Stake

This means that you are adding an additional bet for the feature of the super wheel. This is represented to you in game as the below. If this is not active you will not be awarded any win from the Super Wheel Feature. You can view any round result within the game you are playing to also see if you had this active.

Up Card

The card that the dealer shows face up after dealing.

Wagering

Wagering is the term used to describe how much you are betting, profit/loss is not a factor. For example, if I wager £5 and win the £5 back then I have not lost or gained anything, but I have wagered £5. If I did the same again by wagering £5 and winning the £5 back then I have still not lost or gained anything, but I have now wagered £10. How much you wager is a contributing factor towards our welcome and members bonus for gaming.
